I was introduced to the forums recently but since then I’ve been an avid user of some technical forums and a moderator in one, mostly because I like to help and learn from some discussions and tips.
If you are like me then you get pissed off by some questions (unfortunately most of them).
One kind of question, and this one really offends me, is the “do my home work” type, some just paste the assignment waiting for an answer don’t even bother trying to solve it

When I need to solve a problem in a production web site I use FireLog a little class I wrote that allows me to log to a file an then later watch is contents on firebug

Speeding up your web site by serving less files
Last week I had to solve some performance problems on a customer’s site.
The problem was simple, the customer recently started a web campaign that attracted lots of traffic, he is getting around 70 000 unique visitors a day and the site is not as responsive has it was.
Has the site was already on its own dedicated server, I started with the obvious places
