I was introduced to the forums recently but since then I’ve been an avid user of some technical forums and a moderator in one, mostly because I like to help and learn from some discussions and tips.
If you are like me then you get pissed off by some questions (unfortunately most of them).
One kind of question, and this one really offends me, is the “do my home work” type, some just paste the assignment waiting for an answer don’t even bother trying to solve it
Lazy! lazy! lazy!
If they don’t bother why would they assume that I will I waste my time bothering?
The other kind is a typical question that a simple google search yields the answer on the first 3 hits!
Why not google around? Is it better to wait a few hours to get an answer to an usually “Urgent” matter?
No, they are just lazy or naif, but the results are pretty good, there is always some one eager enough to search, filter the results and then present a turn key customized search!

For me the most important aspect in learning is researching, gathering the most amount of information possible and studding it so I can draw informed conclusions or understand the process behind some action.
Information is power, those who are informed control the world!
By allowing users to become dumb, by doing the research for them, by making them used to not having to think, you are contributing to the global stupidification
